Certifications, Restrictions, and Special Endorsements
Certification Levels
Puppy All teams with a canine partner younger than 1 year.
Level I All new teams or teams new to Connecting Canines; canine partner is 1 year or older.
Level II All teams certified with Connecting Canines for at least two years. Automatic eligibility upon renewal.
Restrictions*
Harness Must visit with leash attached to harness.
Head Halter Must visit with leash attached to head halter.
Junior Handler is under 18 years old and must visit accompanied by adult.
May Not Visit With Other Dogs If your dog is excessively vocal or
unfocused in the presence of other dogs, you may be required to visit
only in settings where other dogs will not be present.
*Other restrictions may apply at the discretion of the examiner and program director.
Special Endorsements Special endorsements are available to Level II teams on an as needed
basis. All special endorsements require successful completion of the
applicable exam.
Off-Leash Team may work with the canine off leash where necessary and safe.
Retrieve and Release Team may play off-leash retrieve games.
